As a new type of elastic component, the nitrogen gas spring has many good properties, such as small size, large elasticity, long stroke, stable operation, etc. In the actual use process, there will be many problems, such as the conversion and installation of the gas spring As well as inflating and so on. In the following content, the editor of Shiruida summarized some common problems in the use of nitrogen gas springs for you.
1. Conversion of nitrogen gas spring
Linear springs have been used in the early stage. I want to use a nitrogen gas spring later, but I don't know how to change it. The number of nitrogen gas springs is unknown; in the conversion process, you must first know the pressure required by the existing mold, and then you can directly use the nitrogen gas spring of the corresponding tonnage; on the contrary, if you don’t know the required pressure value, you can calculate it At the same time, the total pressure provided by the original linear spring in the mold must be known whether the required pressure is the initial pressure (pre-pressure) or the final pressure (full stroke). Once you know this, you can get the desired pressure value. Secondly, the most common way to find the linear spring pressure is to refer to the manufacturer's product pressure chart. Through the chart, we can know the specification, color, preload and stroke of the linear spring in the mold, and can also use the pressure gauge to get the spring pressure.
2. Installation of nitrogen gas spring
First of all, when installing the nitrogen gas spring, pay attention to the direction of the cylinder body up and the piston rod down. Since there is hydraulic oil inside the cylinder, when the upper part of the cylinder, the oil will flow to the connecting part of the cylinder and the piston rod, which is conducive to the stroke movement of the piston (maintain sufficient lubrication to prevent wear). Secondly, during installation, the two installation points of the equipment need to be opened to a suitable position for easy installation. It should be noted that the joints at both ends of the nitrogen gas spring are not necessarily parallel, so it is necessary to check whether the joints at both ends are in a reasonable installation position before installation. If not, the piston rod or cylinder must be rotated clockwise, and the joints that rotate in the opposite direction will loosen. In addition, when using it, please pay attention to avoid close to high temperature and fire source (because there is hydraulic oil and high pressure gas inside the cylinder).
3. Inflation of nitrogen gas spring
Before inflating the nitrogen gas spring, first ensure that the plunger rod is fully extended to the top. If it is not fully extended and inflated, the positioning ring may be in an incorrect position. Use a T-wrench to screw into the screw hole on the top of the piston head, and then use a suitable tool to press the inflation valve. After the gas in the cylinder is exhausted, pull the piston rod upward to make the piston sleeve and the positioning ring tighten.
4. Matters needing attention when inflating nitrogen gas spring
(1) When inflating the nitrogen gas spring, a special inflating platform or inflating device is required. If it is convenient for independent transportation, it can be inflated first. The nitrogen spring side of the seat plate system must be inflated at the work site.
(2) When the inflation pressure of the nitrogen gas spring is 20℃, the standard pressure is 150 (bar). If the inflation is less than 130bar, it can be done with an ordinary nitrogen bottle. Inflation above 130 bar requires a booster device.
(3) Before inflating, please confirm whether the safety retaining ring is installed, and use the T-shaped handle to extend the plunger rod completely, and then adjust the required inflation pressure value for inflation.
(4) When inflating, the speed of air flow through the inflation valve should not be too fast, so as to avoid damage to the inflation valve and cause air leakage. After the inflation is completed, seal the inflation port with a screw plug.
Note: Safe operation must be carried out when inflating, and safety training must be carried out to avoid unnecessary injury.
